About Me
Born 12/29/1961 ...
Born at 2734 Helen st. 4 days after Christmas, 2 days before new years YES I WAS THE TAX BABY lol. Reserved for the past. Will be updated upon completion of the journal.

IN 2015 I am....
Disabled, yes hurt on the job but now It's all coming out... and the wait is incrdedible....finally... Well to date Jan 2012, I was in a bus incident where it was driver error which broke my neck and ended my drum career, yup right after my 50th Birthday so now I just get to watch from a wheel chair. But trying to get going, the rolands are now THERAPY to move all my muscles and ligaments, eventually seeing an end, hopefully it's while I'm sitting behind them with my sticks in my hand. The site has since been turned over to family, friends and other webtechs. Past thoughts before Mr.Pereira's life altering situation, I am doing into studying multiple PHP Platforms and an abundance of graphic work. Now a days it takes much longer to do my task but I still try to stay up to date, I am still a part owner of a labor of love www.poushe.com In which I work at learning the newest and latest formats and pc's I offer suggestions and code, script analize when up to it. Lately just teaching my skills to family and friends. Like with 4 people I did a project with a few years ago, interviewed, photographed bands, establishments and hired extras in trade to make the a media online PMZ Magazine. Michael and Lisa are friends/partners in this with Debbie going covering band pics and we all do articles and stories, photos and creative ideas then I layout the stories and ads and bundle them up in a pdf reader file for download. also am doing a couple band websites like www.lecompt.com/ecommerce , started in 4-29-10 almost complete. Well spending lots of time with the grandkids and doing some odd task on good days. Updating the projects page and my profile page with cleaning out old work contracts unless one of the kids are helping me, (Oh I broke my neck in a fall on a school bus 1/4-5/2012, 1st week back to school. Basically do to Driver error and negligence) Cancelled current work and contracts. I also met some really cool people in the last couple years see www.poushephotos.com for pics. I also met a few good friends like Rick & Krista Doran who have Stems & Seeds band, Doug & Pam Avery (RIP Pam) and a few other good folks like Mike Lecompt who's website we still do. I want to thank you all for the great times and memories, We were also getting well known in center city (which I love!) and my goal to keep me going yet facing surgery 2 and becoming real close with the City Paper I use it and recommend it to give information & links. 2013 has been difficult will add more in later for the last 5 years read below for my life go further down the page. :)
About me starting with the recent stuff...

And should anyone have a problem with this 5 year story, here ya go! ..|.. :)
Disabled and independent and fighting mad about the employer who tried to complicate things because so many workers were off the books but now It's all coming out... :) You all remember Deb and Frank having Poushe Photos and Web design at poushe.com since 1998 right? From 1998-2005 we did weddings and portfolio shoots and e commerce sites then in 2006 we started with the bands... and for the last 6 years... I have been doing mega web cramming for studies and internet design. During this time we met another guy named Mike he owned a local guide/paper for bar advertising and he wanted his old videos burnt to DVD and put on a web site. (he didn't mention for free) Well I got rapped up in this for 2 years 07-08 (got out in 09) Hell you all know I had a beard for like ever and I was talked into shaving for a better IT Career (thus Frank Poushe was born) So while redoing sites, graphic design work, going to spots doing pictures and light video work and giving ideas that were used later (and not like I gave the idea to them) I never really got credit for anything I or Debbie performed. Our names appeared in credit listing and we wrote a few stories but we never could do things we wanted or if we did we had to explain ourselves and pretty much of the time it never got into the paper and it seemed like it more than a hassle than a fun job although we were paid for delivering the paper bundles (and all the returns we couldn't do anything with & we heard about misprints and other things we actually got tired of telling them to call the office, 1 guy actually took the stack from his bar and said I'm taking this home the kid got a new pet I need paper WOW!) and update time every 3 weeks I had to beg for the website update money and the ad we had running got much smaller while the work load was getting bigger...so this got old quickly and I started doing my video thing again and this time with Mike LeCompt we did a little Penny Pack Park video that made the guy Mike blow up because I was doing things without him. (like I needed permission or something) So we got black balled for not giving FREE Work? as it seems... don't you love when people think they own you? So next thing I hear all this stuff from people we met over a couple years that we were thieves and we ripped off this one and that one. Well they all know now that was BS. I showed proof because I wouldn't work for free? or contribute as it was put? well I still do work for a few of the people I met there. and they know the whole story. Well from there we stopped doing things for it, who even told people who did things with us that they would not work with them because They did not like us we were not trust worthy LOL HEY! I never been locked up in my life and still give lots away...just not to them ;) I was even threatened by getting a lawyer involved for slander? wth...? funny I was the one being slandered! ha ha! (Now a year later I got my proof lol eventually someone slipped up while I was taping a video ha ha ha) *(in my opinion Old people should realize it's 2010 and everything is changing and if they can't keep up then go out with dignity instead of making their selves look bad because I am not the one to mess with out here I have a PC in my brain and I will post about it with pics and or video)* I think it was actually 1 comment that was made and blown up to a lot of crap but never the less you mention lawyer around me, after I give till I'm broke...I don't have the time of day for you . PERIOD Lets see I also had to go in for Surgery and get a few things removed so the health was real down hill but able to work a mouse ;) so I left all that and at this time we then went into Philly Music Store with Ron and after 4 website templates and the actual site up now. and meeting with Michael and Lisa from Horizon Press Company while doing it we started our own online magazine. and then with the Philly Music Store going stagnant because Ron did not market it right (still in the works) but the magazine was in demand so we recently started Philly Music Zone which is growing and keeping us busy as we love to do the work just that if I am doing it for others I want to be paid, what I do for me... is my business and that's the problem NO ONE Can Do What I Do!!! and they all want it for free. So right now I am just working my home sites and a few clients sites along with being the editor of my own magazine PMZ Magazine which can be downloaded at www.phillymusiczone.com or any of my sites. Yes it's a green magazine we do not deliver,, you download it. So this is it for now will update more later as the season is just starting again and Mike LeCompt wants me to do Pennypack Park again this year. People need to know 1 thing Philly is not all Rock music there are venues out there and they all need to be heard. We do not promise to run a free advert then forget it. or we do not promise things then wine and cry about the bills we have to pay and then forget about doing it. @ PMZ You send it or post it (free posting boards available), it's in... we do not promise what we can't deliver just to quiet a situation. and when you can't find what you want because we really only cover music/bands/musicians I suggest right kind of E news paper (and paper) for EVERYTHING you need... I promote The City Paper that is the #1 FREE Paper out there right now and I'm glad to have them as friends :) www.citypaper.net they also have FREE POSTING CLASSIFIEDS!!! So this is what I've been putting up with for the last 5 years, Glad the next 5 are looking much better :)

Past Stuff About Me!

To your right consisted of My Pop, sister Charlie, and mom, & the darker version of myself (always a beach bum) and about Mom & Dad....

Mom & Pop will always be remembered for giving! Although they were both challenged by disabilities they never let it hold them down. Society said they couldn't but they proved they could! They started Pats newsstand and owned/operated it for 30 years. Pop had killer snow cones and He also did an exterminating co. on the side, he was a hustler he always worked, even Ward Chocolates where I met Marc Ciacia. His dad was my dads foreman. I actually met Marc in Frankford High School. (more in the drums section) In this time Mom & Pop raised 2 children of their own, a niece and many whom in their hearts they adopted as they were loved by many people. Frank was a workaholic and avid stamp collector who had a leg 1 foot shorter than the other (until 1990 when he lost the shorter leg in a car accident) but it never held him back he worked constantly and Trish who in spite of her Bell's palsy and was able to get people to look at her mind instead of her appearance as half her face was paralyzed from it and to finally finish her schooling with the Lutheran Settlement House she was so respected (as society labeled her special ed and would not let her attend regular school) was able to go to Washington State to speak about Educational Rights! These 2 people were a great inspiration, that you can achieve what you put your mind to and it works! Growing up was a little hard kids teasing and just that kind of crap a few adults taking advantage of the special peoples cute little boy etc I learned to deal with it and as far as my education I finished in the army reserves and The first time I ever touched a computer was 06-11-99 (with no classes at all )I didn't even know I could type (now 140 wpm) and look what I accomplished! I am a code junky and a graphics freak I love this advertising art and now I even have my own online magazine so I guess reading all them papers and magazines for 30 years paid off a little lol Thanks! I just wanted to thank them for being inspirations to help me achieve things that to some people think they can't achieve ..BUT CAN ! Mom & Dad will see you soon Love YOU 2!

Joe McClain was called Chain and Sonnie (y) He was treated like and always will be part of the family (Joe was my friend) He was my sisters boyfriend but we kept our friendship even after they broke up. Thank you for being in my life & Rest in peace! And Marie Windle Always teaching the kids, God bless you! Thanks you Marie! Who opened me up to many religious beliefs who I trusted to watch my daughters since my mom was gone since 1987 right before I met my MRS. Marie also had a son James who is still tight with us to this day R.I.P sweetie, the grandkids and great grandkids are fine! & special hello to Shamus & Mariejane and the other little ones who carry her name on. (This Photo: Marie w/Josh) sadly, her son Jimmy passed in 2018 always looked out for my daughters, just like his mom God bless his kids and friends!.

Growing Up - To Now!
I was born and raised in Kensington! I am a self taught and motivated individual who focuses on the now and what if scenario. I was raised with people in the Village. (see Village page for video) and my next door neighbors owned the store so I was always helping the boys load stock and rotation so I learned that along with my dad owning a news stand. So the business parts were there I helped out with both my pop in the mornings and I worked with Tommy at the store purchasing, restocking, rotating dates, cleaning etc Tommy and I then got jobs together in KOP at Reber Friel co. doing conventions setting up boots and moving freight. Always out partying and girls all the time Drumming was a big part of growing up and wow trying to remember....When I was in high school I met an awesome friend in summer school who opened the door to me hanging in the northeast I was dating this girl Angie when I met Elyce SHE ROCKED!!! (I was starting to hang outside the neighbor hood and the guys were not liking it) but at this time I played with a band called Bourbon and did the string band thing with Marc Ciacia, Vince Tonelli and his brother in law John from UA string band, then at a Greater Kensington String band Practice my buddy Marc played 2 hand touch football, fell and died (17) I then was a waste party constant until I met Bob from another Bob and went to New York , then Joined the Army got my act together (a little) graduated high school did my time and then grams died, mom went right after her about 2 years and I met Deb and been with her ever since. married twice but lately she deen throwing the "D" word around to much. *2019 now, just going through this* (Also in this time they filmed Rocky around the corner I met The Stallone bros. Frank and I are still friends to this day.) I also met other people and had them shoot always sunny in Philly on Helen street. (pics at poushephotos.com) I met a lot celebs in my line of work but you know me everyone wakes up and pee's in the morning. (so in other words everyone's human) I fathered 3 daughters who I love very much and I have all their friends and so on so I have about 100 kids. I do not drink a lot (once in a blue moon) and do this Santa thing since my daughters were small and to try to make up to my parents for the screw ups earlier in my life, by bringing joy to people through pics and parties. All while I self taught my self computers and then went to Internet Media Group to learn E Commerce marketing they were more interested in my skills as many of them could not do a 1/3 of what I was pulling off so I graduated quickly ha ha. Now I love the papers and all the stuff so I created my own after a few attempts with friends I met online can't trust anyone ya know? [Played in a couple bands but getting to old to move the equipment so lets see... My kids are grown I have 7 adorable little grand kids and 2 little cherubs Violet and Hope. and many more from the others still around me as we are a huge family in this place and guess now after 2 cancer scares and doing light duties I am working on websites and spending time with family so in the mean time..What kind of site can we make for you?

My Drumming History (so far)
A list of the people and bands I played with and if I am forgetting anyone (I am) please email me. It would be great to hear from you. I played all over this country so I don't know who all is still around. And I as of 12/04/2019 I had an accident that ended my careers and hopes and dreams and just left a bitter. spiteful, bastard because of the the way the situation was handled.
When I was a kid, I was taught by Buddy Rich, what better influence than that...huh? Yea I was 8 years old and I loved drums then as much as I still do now ;-) and I had a teacher, he was a guitarist also his name was Hal Columbo this guy was awesome on a guitar, well anyway we have (or had) this place in Philly called the River Front Dinner Theatre well Hal loved the way I played for my age he took me to see this guy he called Buddy (I was 8 -9 and didn't know a star if it fell on my lap) which it did... I watched this guy play Hal told him he would be impressed with me..So the guy said hey kid "Lets see what ya got!" So I climbed up on his kit and remembered what he did a few moments ago and played it back, he looked at Hal and said that's unbelievable, hey kid know wipe out? so I did the wipe out roll, he told Hal to bring me down during the week, so I went down again during the week and he had 2 drum kits set up, he led & I followed.. he did some cool drum rudiments and I answered his leads then I opened up on him, I went so quick I looked like I was playing in slow motion, Then I played left handed (ambidextrous, can play a standard left or right handed kit) He jumped up and screamed he loved it. then he remembered my name Frankie Pereira. Well to me he was just my teacher (still didn't realize that this was a famous drummer) just my teacher that I thought was pretty good Hal taught me weekly but 2x's a month I went to the theatre. I met Frank Sinatra (Buddy teased, are you 2 related? cause of the baby blue eyes), and most of the Rat Pack from this guy, Played on the Jerry Lewis Telethon and all then finally he went on tour with Mr Sinatra after a couple years, So I kept the Buddy Rich drum books and rudiments he gave me and I practiced at home with Hal while I played with a jazz band I played at Cozy Moorleys, Did Al Jolson with Mike Gallo, Then I met Tito Puente (excellent showmanship, remember I'm spanish, My Pop was from espanol and got into latin rythyms, rumba, reggae, etc. I played with a band called Bourbon and did the stringband thing with Marc Ciacia his brother inlaw John from UA stringband, so did that a couple years doing big band and dance music then at a Greater Kensington Stringband Practice my buddy Marc played 2 hand touch football, fell and died (17) so I lost interest in playing for a little while. And ya know what? I didn't realize Buddy was famoust till my mid teens (Marc pointed it out to me) when I seen a lot of stuff that he was on and said hey thats my old drum teacher, the old heads would say if he took the time to teach you then you must be one hell of a drummer, I would reply with "I was his kid prodigy, he told people" He was an awesome person also, would mess with the best, a real kidder. (lol) More on Buddy Rich here Now, all this before I did Rock drumming (I fell in love with the Double Bass Concept). I continued the rock music with Bob Livingston, George Garcia (George also played in Bourbon with me - Awesome baseman) and Huey Breslin w/ Steve Robinson and the tall dude Joe with bad nerves yea Nervous Joe LOL, from the age of 14-15 or so (a side project when I played with Bourbon). I also jammed with a band named Eternity after that project! That was a trip! packed my bags and drums told my parents I was moving, they thought I was kidding and soon found I wasn't and I moved to Long Island New York (Off & On for 5 yrs)LOL, OMG Please! that ROCKED!!! I lived with the bass player Chuck and lead/rythym gutarist Bob in Flanders (whom I met and jammed with in Philly from Bob) Oh Yo! the Partys, waking up and lightly steppin over sleepin gorgeous bodies from the jams the nights before, tryin to get a spot at the bathroom where chicks were still lined up at 9-10 am (ahhhhh! they were the days, living on the beach) We played the Boardy Barns, The Mad Hatter, Mad Mad Hatter, Hell we even opened up for Dee Snider (Twisted Sister).... Now party with these guys till 9:00 am the next day (aahhhhhh The Memorys) Dee was as crazy then as he is now (tamed a lot since 25 yrs) but can still dish it out!) I rapped with him this summer on our rock radio station WMMR, in a reminiscence of the good days of ROCK! (The days when Zebra thought they ruled the island, But Dee had it all wrapped up in my opinion! ;-) ) Now back to Bob Livingston (Oh Yea, I met Bob and Chuck from Bob Livingston) Now and then jam with him, Bob & myself jammed with Vic Loughery and Richie Doerr (been jamming a lifetime project)Bob gets in touch once in a while but we haven't jammed together in a while since Rich moved, I jammed with Doug Jervis and Tom Flemming (Wabbit) in an original project with KillRoy called Simon Catholic which faded out after a year or so due to us drinking on gigs. I also jammed with Steve Breslin and Doug Jervis in a band named Afrayed that was a trip.... I jammed with Dave Eisenhower (passed 2007) doing original music Dave wrote awesome stuff , damn drugs screwed up everything!!! after a while also started jammin with Guitar Mike (Mike Margiotta) and Kip (Kevin M) in Trip-Hammer we were doing a few covers and some originals lots of SHRED and that went south so then I was jamming with Noni and Steve from Great Scott band, the guitarist is awesome his name is Steve Dreisbach and we had a cool chemistry to our playing (brings back memories) I dont normally click that well with a musician (most are to opinionated), I just do my job, but this guy is cool as hell, same as the other members of my band Noel Diaz, vocals, drums & many instruments and Leif Dunn on bass. I met these guys through another drummer and my friend... Ted Madden (See my swf tribue for Ted) Ted and I used to practice together remeeting through our friend Kevin Smith , I met Ted years before through another guy I jammed with Victor Loughery but I moved from the city with Vic back to LI NY. Ted who's life came to a tragic end a few years ago, was their drummer so I kinda stood in for my friend for a couple years...but I lost interest of doing covers and the bar scene and the not many gigs, my stomach was making me nuts - a unbilical mass/hernia - created by carrying stuff last band (so I stopped playing for 2 years, lot of pain could concentrate without getting tanked to get past the pain) started a project with Helene from Groovy Suzy but to much pain although I gave her the name "Queen Helene" because of her band direction method. but I could not cut it with the pain so went and had to have surgery to remove it and patch me up since it grew 8/10 inches, I had it done (Sept 2007) Since that, Then 2008 (and playing better than ever) I was jamming with Jim Mitchell & The Repeat Offenders figured I see how the country part goes lol Well people these are all my influences in Classic - Oldies - Motown -Classic Rock - Rock - Metal - Shred - Reggae - HipHop - Latin Rythym - R&b - then...(2008) Country, Country Rock known as Honky-Tonk & Southern Rock with Jim Mitchell & The Repeat Offenders till 2009.
And lately I have a few kits and things could be going on but in the spare time working on www.phillymusiczone.com keeping all the musicians linked up! and doing band and musicians websites. Well to date Jan 2012, I was in a bus incident where it was driver error which broke my neck and ended my drum career, yup right after my 50th Birthday so now I just get to watch from a wheel chair.
